Building Wisely

Building Wisely.
The more the church grows , the more pillars of the church are needed. After foundation, pillars are created before the congregation comes into play. The congregation is like the roof of the building, they are like the final product.

What makes a house strong?

  1. The kind of foundation it has. What is the depth, the width and the height of the foundation? Depending on the kind of ministry you intend to do for God, will depend on the kind of foundation you need to build for that house. If you intend to build a big ministry then you need to take more time in the foundation area. To make sure the church is rooted in Christ, godly doctrines of God and prayer.
  2. The pillars follow after the foundation. These are the people whose existence makes the church stand. Without them, the church will fall and will not be able to balance. Their existence makes the church strong and prosperous. They are vision bearers and distributors who are vigilant in the church affairs. They have clear direction of the ministry and they are born in the ministry. They love the ministry and treat it as part of their life. They are well informed and trained and understand the teachings of the house and able to teach others the same. They are anchored in the Word and have the best interest for the church. They assist in ministerial ministry to the sheep and also act as counselors to the church.
  3. Congregation. Faithful members of the church who stand with the church in prayer and are faithful to God in standing with the church of God.

Wisdom is paramount when the church is growing rapidly. It takes time to train pillars but it is easy to increase the number of congregation. If the number of the congregation overwhelms the number or the strength of the pillars , the church will fall. Have you ever imagined carrying something heavy and you need to walk with it many miles? It will reach a time you will need to drop it down when the weight becomes too much.

The weight of the congregation became too much for Moses until the need of the 70 elders of Israel were came to play. In other words, Moses was not able to balance ministry because the pillars were not functioning.

Ministry becomes dysfunctional when the presence of the congregation overwhelms the pillars. The church will become weak and that is when compromise enters the church. As you aim at building your congregation, never forget to build proportionate pillars that will hold that congregation together.

If the congregation grows and the pillars are strong but the foundation is weak, the whole house will fall down with everyone. We need wisdom in the building process. You may have a strong house with a weak foundation. This is dangerous. You may have a good foundation, strong pillars but weak roof. In this occasion, roof can easily be replaced. But it is not easy to replace the foundation. You can be able to replace the pillars but it will take tearing the whole house down to rectify foundation issues.

This is why it is hard for ministries that have grown to rectify foundation issues that have become a thorn in the house. They will rather keep up with the thorn than to rectify what they know very well is spewing poison and slowly but surely kills the life of the sheep and the house.

May you be careful how you build. May God give you wisdom in building.

Scripture references for study:

and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. – Galatians 2:9

46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?47 Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like:48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.49 But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” – Luke 6:46-49

Moses said to the Lord, “Why have you dealt ill with your servant? And why have I not found favor in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people on me? Did I conceive all this people? Did I give them birth, that you should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries a nursing child,’ to the land that you swore to give their fathers? – Numbers 11:11-12

12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ – Revelation 3:12-13

And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb (Christ). – Revelation 21:14

Dealing with the gods of your Father’s house

For proper spiritual success you must first deal with the gods of your father’s house. Before bringing deliverance to a whole nations , deal first with the gods of your father’s house. Make sure you dismantle their demonic altars, bring to an end ancestral demonic worship, dismantle demonic covenants and stand out as the Light with the Word of God and raise an altar for God.

Many have had great success in ministry only to be brought down with the powers from the father’s house.

Deal with things that needs to be dealt with now before they become your stumbling block in the future.

The god on your father’s house may be polygamous marriages. You may find a Pastor may succeed so well in ministry only to find himself with a mistress besides his wife because the powers of polygamy from the father’s house has finally caught up with him.

In some instance is alcoholism, poverty, witchcraft , rape, divorce , premature deaths, which later catch up with someone. Deal with what God want you to deal with now. Fight for your life and your generation. The devil isn’t sleeping and he is out to destroy. Destory him before he destory you.

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” – Genesis 3:15

That night the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s bull, and the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of the stronghold here, with stones laid in due order. Then take the second bull and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you shall cut down.” – Judges 6:25-26

Principles in Ministry

I heard somebody saying ministry is a marathon not a short relay. There are people who are good at short relay but faint when put on long marathon but there are people who will perform poorly on short relay but excel in marathon.

When doing ministry,  you need to think about the future, the future beyond you. What kind of a house are you building? Can it stand the storms? What kind of decisions are you making? Will they affect this future?

You have to tred carefully,  apply wisdom and know the principles of God when doing ministry.

Principles of God:

1. Touch not my anointed ones. A servant of God who used to walk under the anointing may backslide or sin but the anointing God has put in them has not backsliden . There is a tendency of our generation abusing the anointed ones of God because they committed a certain sin. Let God deal with them and their master knows their end. If you act as the judge instead of God, you can incur spiritual pain and injury in your life.

2. The nakedness of a father is not for the son to reveal.  It is very tempting for our generation to be running around showing the nakedness of a father. If you once served under somebody who became a father in the Lord and was genuinely blessed while serving under them, then you come to know about their weaknesses,  it is not for you to take it to the world to announce it. You can incure spiritual leprosy that can affect your life and your generation to come. And the grace that was operating on that servant which you were benefiting from will stop working for you.

If you can’t stand a servant you once served under, leave silently and continue with your life and God’s direction concerning your life. Don’t be abusive of the servant you are leaving behind. Don’t start calling that servant names. God doesn’t entertain foolishness and you will land into the wrong side of him.

3. Understand your operations and callings.  God call people differently,  some are called to start something new while others are called to work under someone else. There is an anointing that God will release in a specific house to build that house or ministry.  For example when God told Moses to call the 70 elders of Israel,  He took some of the spirits operating in Moses and distributed to the 70 elders. Why couldn’t God just took new spirits from heaven and anointed the 70 elders? If that was to happen, all the 70 elders will have a divergent ministry away from Moses. God had to give them what was at work in Moses for them to be able to understand Moses well and channel the vision that was at work in Moses.

There are many people that have ran with the anointing they received from Moses to go and build divergent houses while the ministry of Moses is left in ruin! You can land into the wrong side of God when you do this. There is an anointing that is meant to build a specific house or vision and the moment you play with it, it will die slowly but surely .

4. Don’t tore the garment of the one who anointed you or ordained you into an office to serve in the church. There is a priestly garment that servants of God walk with you which symbolize the authority of God they exercise in the church. The life of King Saul came to an end when he tore the priestly garment of Prophet Samuel.

What does it mean to tore the garment? It means to tarnish the reputation of that servant , to abuse that servant verbally, to go around talking negatively about that servant, gossiping behind that servant are part of toring their garment because you are degrading their authority. The moment King Saul tore the garment of Samuel, he lost everything, even the Kingdom plus the anointing.

Be careful how you operate, don’t abuse a servant who once ordained you into office. Fear the Lord and live.

Servant Like Moses

The Lord is looking for a servant like Moses , who will be faithful in all God’s house . Not part of God’s house but all . The Benchmark is what is the level of our faithfulness to the service of God ?
Yes we are faithful with earthly things like career, going to school , jobs , family but what about serving God ?
How much are we faithful when it comes to serving God ?
How much time have we set aside to serve the Living God?
Are we available for His purpose ?
Can we say Here I am use me Lord ?
Are we willing to pay the price to walk with the weight of His Fire ?
Can we carry the burden of the Lord to this dying and perishing generation ?
Can we be willing to live for others and die to our own self ?
Can our life become a Living Sacrifice for Christ Jesus?
Are we willing to make serving God our all in all calling and purpose in life ?

Today as I was praying , the Spirit of the Lord cried on me and told me , ” He is looking for a servant like Moses “
A servant that is willing to walk with God hand in hand , feel his pain , feel his sorrow , feel his agency and fulfill his purpose .

Numbers 12:7-8 Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?”

Let the Word draw you.

Don’t get caught up on the excitement at the expense of the Word. Ministry may look exciting and enticing but is the Word in it? We live in a generation that are curious about signs and wonders but miss the Word. Their ministry that focus so much on the quick miracle, quick prophesy but the Word is lacking. The Word is Jesus Christ and if it is lacking, the house won’t balance.

Miracles are a quick solution of today but teachings will either keep you tomorrow or destroy you. Their people because of miracles are stack in places they know very well they are being taught wrong. Whoever teaches you wrong is like a man giving you a slow poison. It will eat you slowly but surely until you completely die spiritually and physically.

Run after the Word and miracles will come later. Pursue the Word and everything else will be given to you in due season.
May miracles , signs and wonders never excite you at the expense of the Word.

Their many emergent prophets today that just want to feed you with prophesies only but they don’t have the Word. Be careful of them. Many are are workers of Satan masquerading as angels of Light in the church. Apart from prophesy pay attention to their teachings. If the teachings are not inline with the Word , then run for your soul, you are at greater risk.
