Sometimes our breakthrough is not in prayer but in direction. Our generation today want a now miracle but there are miracles that will require you to go to the pull of Siloam to wash your face. Washing your face in Siloam can also mean washing your hypocrisy.
Sometimes our level of hypocrisy prevent us from receiving what God has readily prepared for us . Because our face is full of hypocrisy, even when He want to bless us he can’t . We have to go to the pull of Siloam, wash away every guilt, every doubt, every disobedience, every scale in our eyes, every faithlessness, every stubbornness, every rudeness , every arrogance , every self ambitions , every bitterness, every pride, every insincerity, then we shall receive a miracle. Sometimes we are too chaotic to receive something from God.
There are people whom Jesus healed instantly but their are people He gave them homework to do to experience their miracles.
Don’t get mad when a servant of God give you homework to do instead of just praying for you to receive what you want immediately. There are something’s when you receive without your heart being right , will be a door to your own destruction.
There are people who prayed for marriage but marriage became their source of depression.
There are people who cried out for anointing but now anointing has made them to become arrogant and prideful.
There people who prayed for children and the same children became their source of stress.
Sometimes the problem is not what we ask but the discipline to keep what we ask.
Don’t ask what you don’t have the discipline to keep.
You may ask God to become a millionaire but when you become one, will you still remember the doors of the church? Many will not see the need of God going onwards.
Some ask for a job but once they received the job , they stopped coming to church. The reason for their coming to church wasn’t Christ at all but their need. Once their need is satisfied, they don’t see the need of God no more.
This is why some need homework first instead of a miracle or healing. For God to show you the kind of heart you have towards Him. Whether that heart is true or fake.
One prophet ones spoke that their love is like that of morning Cloud and dew which quickly fades away. There are people who quickly forget God when their needs are met but there are people who love God more irrespective of their need or abundance.
What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew that goes early away.
Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.
Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.
